Australian R&B, soul musician, Jarryd James has today dropped his second studio album 'P.M'.

"If I'm honest, there were times in the last couple years where I really thought this album would never see the light of day," Jarryd says, "but here we are, and I'm so glad that I didn't give in."

'P.M.' features nine tracks including 2020 singles 'Problems' and 'Miracles' as well as one collaboration – 'Overdue' featuring 22-year-old Wisconsin rapper Trapo with beats supplied by Toronto producer FrancisGotHeat (Drake, Travis Scott).

"'Overdue' is my favourite track on the album," Jarryd says.

"The city of Los Angeles can be a strange place for an introvert from Brisbane. Keeping pretty unusual hours and not really looking after myself took its toll.

"We slowly started to make a piece of music while I drank some gin, and we made what I think is my favourite thing I've ever made.

"FrancisGotHeat sent back the flipped version of the beat that you hear at the end, which made it perfect for a feature.

"We put the feelers out and came across Trapo, an insanely talented young rapper from Wisconsin. After one listen to his album 'Oil Change' I knew he was the dude for it.

"Honestly, I thought he would do 16 bars which I would have been stoked with, but he went ahead and murdered the entire section that we sent him. Blew my mind when I heard it for the first time."

Alongside FrancisGotHeat, Jarryd handpicked a list of producers including Clams Casino (A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples), Malay Ho (Frank Ocean, John Legend, Alicia Keys) and Joel Little (Khalid, Lorde) to work with on 'P.M.', which recorded in studios in Los Angeles, Nicaragua, Brisbane, Auckland and New York with Jarryd playing all the instruments on the album.

"When I go back and listen to all the songs on the album, I'm transported to where I was at the time," Jarryd told us in November.

"There are songs from New York, LA, ones that I made in the jungle in Nicaragua. It's pretty special for me, each song is a memory."
