Jamie Hutchings, who released his latest album 'Bedsit' earlier this year, is following it up with an east-coast tour, 'Careering Through The Bedsit', this spring.
These shows (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane) will see Jamie perform two sets. The first will consist of older, by request material (punters can offer their suggestions via Jamie’s Facebook page or his website), with the second set to feature highlights from 'Bedsit' and beyond.
The singer-songwriter and producer, who emerged in the '90s with Bluebottle Kiss, has released four solo albums.
Earlier this week, he released a digital EP, 'Other Rooms', via Bandcamp.
When 'Bedsit' was released in March, scenestr had a chat with Jamie. “There's a lot of space and stillness in the music, there's not a lot on the record.
“There's not a million things going on, it's really bare and still... So it's a bit of an amalgamation of this rural stillness and this almost suburban isolation.”
After performing with his other two side projects Infinity Broke and The Tall Grass in festival shows in France this year, these will be Jamie's first solo show since his return.
