British emerging indie rock artist, James Marriott returns to Australia late 2024.
The 'Him', 'Grapes' and 'Sleeping On Trains' songwriter, who sold out Melbourne and Sydney gigs last year, will headline concerts in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth early December. "I'm omw back to Australia and New Zealand this December π See you sooooon π³πΏπ¦πΊ!"Originally gaining an online following for his YouTube content during the '10s, where he mocked and took fun of other YouTubers, it was the pandemic that allowed Marriott to pivot to writing and releasing his own original music.
After releasing his debut single 'Slow Down' in 2020 followed by a string of singles, Marriott released his debut EP 'Bitter Tongues' in 2022 (which featured 'Grapes' and 'Sleeping On Trains' as well as 'Car Lights').
Late last year, James released his debut album 'Are We There Yet?' that contains the songs 'So Long', 'Romanticise This', 'Don't Blame Me' and 'White Noise'.
With influences as varied as Phoebe Bridgers, Foals, Kelly Clarkson, The Strokes and The 1975, Marriott combines indie rock with alternative, new wave and indie folk tones, and is a songwriter-performer destined for bigger stages β as evidenced by him supporting Jake Bugg at London's Royal Albert Hall and performing at The Great Escape and Neighbourhood Weekender.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 24 July.
