It's Not A Comeback, But Chet Faker Is Back With New Music – His First In 5 Years

Chet Faker
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Four years since he switched his artistic moniker to his own name, Nick Murphy, 'No Diggity', 'Gold' musician Chet Faker is back in the spotlight.

The five-time ARIA Award winner, who has not release any new original material since 2015, returns with the release of new single, 'Low' – a slinky, Beck-esque indie rock-tronica banger.

It's like he's grabbed an audio blender and added 'Play'-era Moby, 'Blue Lines' Massive Attack and the analogue charm of vinyl and sprinkled a little Chet Faker magic on top before hitting the power button.

With a dusty, meandering drum beat and Chet's muddied yet crystal-clear vocals, 'Low' is a deadset instant classic destined to be one of summer's massive hits.

More of this please, Chet.
