Four years removed from his superb debut LP 'Human', R&B, blues, soul singer-songwriter Rag'n'Bone Man is set to release his sophomore album, 'Life By Misadventure', this autumn.
After winning BRIT and Ivor Novello Awards for 'Human' (which was also the fastest selling debut album by a male artist during the 2010s), for his sophomore effort, Rag'n'Bone Man (aka Rory Graham) moved across the Atlantic settling in Nashville (prior to the pandemic) to work with Grammy Award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Elizondo (Eminem, 50 Cent, Fiona Apple, Alanis Morissette)."We had quite a time to live with the songs this time around," Rag'n'Bone Man says.
"Too often, how I'd done things before, was that we'd written a song and I had to sing it the same day, and that was the version we'd use on the album.
"This way, it was far easier to get real emotion into the music."
The first cab off the 'Life By Misadventure' rank is lead single 'All You Ever Wanted' the upbeat and joyous yet sorrowful sounding ode to nostalgia and places that only exist now in people's memory. Think Kings Of Leon crossed with Springsteen.
"I'd felt sad looking around Brighton and London where I grew up. . . remembering all those cool places that aren't there anymore," Rory says.
