"There will be some changes to the festival's format this year, as COVID-19 has changed community and council's attitude to large events," event organisers reveal.
"We are currently working with our island stakeholders to bring to you an event which promotes healthy lifestyles, cultural appreciation and is more sensitive to the precious ecology of the island.
"We are creating a more intimate, family-friendly experience for you all this year. This means earlier finishing times, smaller numbers and a drug and alcohol free space.
"The new format will see a larger healing zone centred around our partners from the Zenthai Shiatsu community, a stronger focus on a wonderful workshop programme as well as our usual abundance of bands, dancers, producers and artists to share the best creative vibes possible."
2022 Island Vibe Festival takes place at Home Beach, Pt Lookout Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) 27-30 October.
Tickets are on sale, but selling quickly. The event's capacity has been capped at 1,500 in 2022 and fewer than 300 tickets remain.
