Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) has announced the return of the 'Songs Of Hope And Healing' benefit concert.

The concert, which debuted in 2015, combines Brisbane's artistic community and popular guest soloists to raise funds to benefit young people of refugee backgrounds.

For one night, QPAC's Concert Hall will play host to Camerata-Queensland's Chamber Orchestra , acclaimed Tibetan musician and songwriter Tenzin Choegyal, Hoang Pham, Queensland Conservatorium Brass and more.

'X-Factor' 2016 winner and 2017 'Eurovision Song Contest' Australian entrant Isaiah Firebrace will lead the line-up.

Here, he answers some questions about his involvement in 'Songs Of Hope And Healing'.

This event is all about giving back. How did you get involved with it?
Basically I believed it was a great opportunity to be involved in. Benefit concerts are so heartwarming to be involved in. Sharing my story and providing inspiration to these young ones that you can do whatever you want in your life, is what I’m really excited about, I can’t wait.

What is your knowledge on the topic of young refugees?
I don’t know that much about young refugees but I think it’s an important topic that I want to learn more about.

What is your role in 'Songs Of Hope And Healing' looking like?
Performing some songs on stage to inspire the people who are involved in this amazing cause. I just love performing and supporting people in need, especially the younger generation so this benefit concert is looking very exciting for me.

What are some of the songs we can expect to hear during this show?
Songs from 'X-Factor' including 'Halo', and my original song 'Don’t Come Easy', as well as a cover of 'This Is Me' from 'The Greatest Showman', an amazing song about courage and never giving up.

You've had quite a few great experiences since your 'X-Factor' win in 2016. What does this event mean to you personally?
It means a lot because I get the chance to inspire and give these young kids hope which is why I love my job, this is one of the best things about my journey.

What do you hope to achieve by the time you've finished the show?
To set a good example that no matter who you are or where you're from you can achieve great things with passion, discipline and a good caring heart.

What do you hope audiences walk away feeling and thinking after seeing 'Songs Of Hope And Healing'?
That they are amazing people with great futures and deserve every success in life.

How important is it that FHEAL continues to help refugee adolescents, and why?
Because a lot of refugees are misunderstood, they need help and support. It really is amazing what FHEAL do for these refugees. I’m sure these people will never forget how FHEAL have helped them. It’s so important to continue the work FHEAL does because in the future so many more young refugees will need that help and support, and FHEAL will be there with open arms to take care and show the love that they need.

'Songs Of Hope And Healing' takes place at QPAC on 27 March.
