Set to take over Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast, Inverted Festival will be a day-long celebration (1 May) of punk rock and alternative music mixed with death-defying action sports like FMX, BMX and skateboarding.
Approved by Queensland Health Department and set to host 10,000 music and extreme sports lovers standing shoulder-to-shoulder, the music line-up features Skegss, Spiderbait, The Chats, Trophy Eyes, WAAX, Stand Atlantic and Fangz."Inverted Festival will be the first festival we've played in over a year and we're so excited to get back in front of a crowd, especially at a massive venue like Metricon Stadium," WAAX frontwoman Maz DeVita says.
"It's going to be a pretty unique experience playing while people are backflipping skateboards and motorbikes, but I think we'll make a pretty epic soundtrack for that action."
Billed as the "biggest standing music festival in Australia since COVID", event organisers are committed to staging a safe event compliant with all regulations related to COVID.
"It's gonna be just like music festivals used to be! We chose Metricon Stadium because it is the most CovidSafe stadium in Australia."
While some of the world's best action sports athletes will ramp the energy to 11 battling it out for top honours in Street Skate, BMX Park, BMX Big Air and Freestyle Motocross events by attempting some of the most difficult and dangerous airborne stunts.
Scheduled for the Labor Day long weekend in Queensland, Inverted Festival is the ideal destination to let loose the pent-up energy of the past 12 months... Shaka good times await.
