Jordan de Pas's aka Zapéd is a Brisbane-grown producer, who finds himself between his home town and his adopted home of Berlin.
Zapéd has released a steady stream of unannounced singles over the past 18 months in addition to making rare, live appearances supporting the likes of Baths, The Kite String Tangle and Glass Animals. Zapéd's latest single, 'Eyes Collide' feat. Groszek, is coloured by huge walls of ambient sound, soulful vocals and an a strong focus on melody.
Who is Zapéd... I'm a Brisbane, electronic-music producer who splits his time between sunny Brisbane and cold as hell Berlin.
I sound like... A nice mix between dance and pop-electronic music. My style has been described as 'future groove with intelligence' so I'm rolling with that ;)
My first gig was... At a little, beer festival in Kangaroo Point. I was attempting to play Claptone and Justice remixes through one ridic-little speaker. It was safe to say the speaker was never the same again.
When did you settle on the your stage name, and was it a unanimous decision... I'm the only one in the band so what I say goes. Plus, Zapéd is just my last name backwards (trippy ey?).
In the studio I usually... Post up either in my home studio in Brisbane or my bedroom in Berlin, and get sucked into the abyss of weird synths and heaps of reverb. Seven hours later I'll usually be drunk as well.
If I could tour with anyone... Odesza. They are so, freaking awesome and I would love to pick their brains back stage.

Social media is... Sweet if you are single. Tinder, Tinder, Tinder. Nah, but it's also good for other things. I rely on it pretty heavily in Berlin to still keep somewhat of an online presence back home.
My favourite app at the moment is (why?)... I'd love to say something cool here but unfortunately my fav app atm is the Berlin subway app for those drunk journeys back to my apartment. It's a life saver.
To date, my most embarrassing moment was the time... I got told off by this sound guy at a show for drinking the other band's rider (Jaeger to be specific). Was pretty embarrassing (sorry Pigeon).

The most scary scenario I've found myself in, was... Getting my backpack caught in the train door and it literally pulling me off my feet. I went full horizontal and thought I was a gonna. Euro trains don't fuck around, yo!
What celebrity/ famous person would you love to be spokesperson of the band (why?) Would have to go with the Cloontang here (George Clooney), 'cause everyone listens to him.
Three people you'd like to invite around for a dinner party (why?)... The three dudes from 'Workaholics'. They are all-time brajes.
'Workaholics'If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us? Being of Italian decent it would be either pepperoni pizza or spaghetti bolognese. That's it.

The last time I saw the inside of a gym was... About three months ago. Only because I was kicking on in a gym and drinking wine.
What's the one chore you dislike the most? Washing my clothes. No ones likes doing that.
Do you have any phobias... please explain? Galeophobia (fear of sharks) 'cause damn, sharks you scary!
Would you ever partake in a reality show? If so, what type? No way. I'd rather just watch stupid reality TV.
If you could prank any of your friends, who's your target, and how are you bringing them down? None of my friends are sacred and they know this. I've been known to slip a bit of super laxative into people's drinks. Works every time.
