Who is WAAX… We are a punk-rock band from Brisbane. We started a year and a bit ago and have been kicking around, being loud as fuck ever since.
We sound like… If The Hives and Bikini Kill had a baby; and if The Dead Weather and The Vasco Era had a baby – and in the future those two babies met, fucked and conceived a baby, we would be that baby.
Our first gig was a... House party, where I (Elijah) got really drunk and couldn’t play for shit.
When did you settle on the group's name, and was it a unanimous decision... Marie came up with the name. It sounds cool I think, but almost all band names suck.
In the studio we usually... Get really drunk and and record ‘music’.
If we could tour with anyone... Grinderman.

Social media is... A waste of time; I spend way too much time flicking through random peoples lives.
My favourite app at the moment is... Backflip Madness. It’s fucking awesome and addictive as shit.
To date, our most embarrassing moment was the time… Marie got pissed and made the band push her to a party in a trolley. I feel like she believed it was a badass move. It was a dick move to say the least.
Life on the road can be… Full of highly intelligent conversations.

The most scary scenario we've found ourselves was... Being in Brisbane for G20.
