An emerging musician from Meanjin/ Brisbane who's been part of the local music scene for a few years, including a stint with indie charmers Sunflower, Willow Keith has just taken the covers off his debut song, 'Company'.
An accomplished first-up effort that's awash in gorgeous indie tones and gleaming yet serene instrumentation that includes a couple of sexy AF saxophone interludes (more please!), Keith's warm vocals highlight the song's deep connection about finding all-encompassing love."In its simplest form, the song depicts finding or having someone special in your life who has a calming effect on you and that simply their company is the only necessity," shares Willow.
Inspired by the likes of The 1975, INXS, Harry Styles and Spacey Jane, Willow Keith is a name you can expect to hear more regularly as he charts his path across the Australian indie scene.
Who is Willow Keith... I've been in the local scene for a few years now, playing cover gigs to original sets. I played in the Brissie band Sunflower a couple years ago. I've always been obsessed with music from a young age and really been the only thing I've wanted to pursue.

My first solo gig I played was... A Beatles covers gig in Fortitude Valley. First gig I went to was Powderfinger at The Riverstage and Jet opened for them – how good?!
In the studio I usually... Have too many ideas.
If I could tour with anyone... Oasis – circa 1995.
Social media is... Unfortunately necessary for small local artists to grow.
My favourite app at the moment is... I've recently jumped on the TikTok train – incredible exposure for musicians.
To date, my most embarrassing moment was the time... I went skydiving when I was 16 and thought it would be a good idea to eat Maccas beforehand. I proceeded to pass out the entire way down and be in and out of consciousness throwing up. :)
Life on the road can be... A lot of fun at times, but strenuous.
If you'll have me on your bill, all I ask is that our rider contains... Some water, lemon tea, Guinness, French pinot noir (and the rest depending on the budget).
The most scary scenario I've found myself in, was... Singing onstage for the first time.

If you had to live in a city abroad, where would you choose? Galway – the pub and music scene there is unbelievable.
