An acoustic singer-songwriter who dabbles in folk, pop and roots tones, Canberra musician Dean Abbott writes songs imbued with themes of love, compassion and inner peace.
A business owner since he was 19 years old (today he is a qualified holistic life coach and yoga teacher), Abbott first began writing songs when he was 21 releasing his debut EP 'All The Leaves' in 2020.Dean has subsequently released three studio albums (the most recent being 2023's 'Changing Seasons') alongside a stack of singles. After releasing the single 'Be With You' in March, Dean's current single is titled 'Walk That Line'.

Social media is... A great resource if used as a tool, or a time-absorbing distraction when used unconsciously.
My favourite app at the moment is... NBA League Pass, as I love watching the basketball.
To date, my most embarrassing moment was the time... Saying congratulations to a woman for her pregnancy who then told me she wasn't. That one stung for a while.
Life on the road can be... A beautiful way to step outside my home town and explore other parts of the country and world.
The most scary scenario I've found myself in, was... When my lung collapsed during a basketball game and not being able to breath or know what was going on.
What celebrity/ famous person would you love to be your spokesperson... Sadhguru. I love his message and wisdom that he shares with the world.
If you had to live in a city abroad, where would you choose and why? Maui. The energy of the island is beautiful. Amazing beaching and sunsets.
Three people you'd like to invite around for a dinner party... LeBron James to understand his mentality to be the greatest of all time. Jack Johnson as he seems like a pretty cool, chilled guy to being around. Paul Chek for some interesting conversations.

If you could prank any of your friends, who's your target, and how are you bringing them down? I am in a little prank war with my son currently that I would stick to. I recently did the 'can you get me some more toilet paper' then put Nutella on his hand as I grabbed it.
Which fictional character best describes your personality? Gandalf. A wise old man even though I'm not an old man.
Last show you binge-watched? 'Australian Survivor'. I love the social aspect of the game and the endurance challenges. Makes me want to see how I would go in that situation.
