An electrician who navigates the Monday-to-Friday hustle before unleashing his inner rapper on the weekends, Chatters is the hip hop moniker of Perth's Nick Conti.
After releasing his debut EP 'Chat Room' last year, Chatters is back with another serving of his upbeat, fun, party-licious hip hop jams that also blur the lines between alt-pop with the 'Still Chatting' EP.Fans of Drapht, Butterfingers, 360 and Seth Sentry will find plenty to devour among the seven tracks that were produced with fellow local Uncool Sam.
I sound like... Upbeat like Drapht and Hilltop Hoods. It really is a blend of Aussie hip hop with new age pop.
When did you settle on the group's name, and was it a unanimous decision... I was at work digging with my tradesmen, Voyonne, where all day he kept telling me to stop talking sh.t and start digging, and then he finally cracked it and told me I was worse than those chatters on talkback radio.
After hearing that, I actually went quiet and thought the name Chatters suited me really well and summed up what I'm really like – a guy that can talk a lot of sh.t.
In the studio I usually... Walk in with lyrics or a list of songs with certain instrument sounds I like for them all. Then sit with Uncool Sam and begin to bounce ideas off each other until we finally are happy with where the beat is at.
I'll jump in the studio to record my vocals then leave the song for a couple of weeks and come back with fresh ears to do the final touches and changes.
If I could tour with anyone... Horrorshow or Joelistics – Horrorshow was the first Aussie hip hop artist that got me into the genre, and Joelistics as he was the first hip hop gig I saw live at Four5Nine.
Social media is... Something I struggle with as I'm useless with technology.
My favourite app at the moment is... At the moment I'm loving Duolingo as I'm pretty keen to learn Italian, so when borders open up again I can go travel Italy and speak their language.
To date, my most embarrassing moment was the time... Easily the most embarrassing moment on a date was when I didn't know this girl was vegan and took her to a meat place for our second date. She wasn't too impressed to say the least.

The most scary scenario I've found myself in, was... Being chased out from under a building by a snake while working.
What celebrity/ famous person would you love to be spokesperson of the band... Adam Sandler as the Zohan, as 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan' is easily my favourite film and best superhero ever.
If you had to live in a city abroad, where would you choose and why? San Diego; not only because Ron Burgundy is there, but it's been my favourite place I've been to so far while travelling.
Three people you'd like to invite around for a dinner party... Adam Sandler as The Zohan. The Zohan Gene Simmons as growing up KISS was my favourite band and I always idolised Gene Simmons as a musician and a business person. Emma Stone as she is my celebrity crush.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us? Baked bean and cheese toasted sandwich and if you're lucky, I might even slip in some avocado.
When it comes to pets are you a lover or hater of our furry friends? Lover.

The last time I saw the inside of a gym was... On the weekend as I competed in Allstar Alliance team competition.
What's the one chore you dislike the most? Mopping as you just have to wait for the floor to dry before you can go back in.
Do you have any phobias? Snakes.
Would you ever partake in a reality show? Would have been 'Big Brother' just for the Friday Night Games, but that's gone now so none.
If you could prank any of your friends, who's your target, and how are you bringing them down? Either my cousin Shell or my sisters Jess and Bec as they all are super jumpy and always give the best reactions to anything I do or say.
Best local takeaway joint for a 2am feed that will leave you with a food coma? Majestik Subs and Burgers.
Which fictional character best describes your personality? Clay Vanstone in 'Office Christmas Party' 'cause if I had that much money I'd do and buy the exact same stuff as that guy.
