Introducing: Major Rock Hard Abs

Major Rock Hard Abs (Selwyn Cozens)
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

In 1977 the Voyager satellite was launched into space carrying two golden discs containing sounds and images believed to portray life and culture on Earth.

What if some alien intelligence sent us a reply? Well, a few decades later (we forgive you, Australia Post) our friends at The Workers Club have it in their hot little hands, and are set to reveal it.

Major Rock Hard Abs' (the alter-ego of Melbourne producer Selwyn Cozens) debut album, Gold, was spawned through this concept of a collection of “ancient, alien hit records from the future”. His first single 'I'm At All The Coolest Parties', featuring Kylie Auldist (The Bamboos), will be launched on September 6 at The Workers Club and provides a teaser of what the debut album will sound like – a futuristic house party anthem designed to put bodies on the dance floor.

Gold boasts a plethora of collaborations with talented musicians from bands such as Eagle & The Worm, Husky, Daddy Cool, Blue King Brown, Custom Kings, The Boat People and more.
