Jordan Skinner is an Australian independent soul-pop musician who has recently released his debut single, Whole Way Through’.
Jordan hopes his future as a musician echoes the success of his already impressive racing career. Jordan spent two years in the UK racing Formula Fords; his impressive rookie performances locally and overseas impressed the iconic Dick Johnson Racing team, who are currently mentoring Jordan with a view to join the team as a V8 Supercar driver in the future.
Who is Jordan Skinner... I started playing guitar at the age of three when my father got tired of me trying to dictate what he played, so he gave me a guitar of my own. From then on in if I wasn’t racing my go-kart I was playing guitar. Then when I got older I started making my own music and writing, which was pretty awful actually, looking at some of the stuff I wrote but I am hoping it is better now!
I sound like... I have never really thought about it but if I had to say what my writing style is like I would say like Ed Sheeran, even though the end result doesn’t always reflect it.
When did you settle on your stage name, and was it a unanimous decision... Roughly 23 years ago. My parents seemed to have it covered and gave me little say in the matter.
If I could tour with anyone... Bruno Mars or Ed Sheeran. They’re both great performers and awesome musos.
Ed SheeranSocial media is... A great way for people that are interested in what I am doing to stay up to date.
My favourite app at the moment is... Couch To 5k. It’s a running app. I have always sucked at running, but this app is slowly helping me suck a little less.
To date, my most embarrassing moment was the time... I had one to many reds at a hotel’s grand opening night and redecorated the bathroom in a style all of my own!
Life on the road can be... Interesting, but can be lonely.

The most scary scenario I've found myself in was... On a scooter taxi in Vietnam and instead of being taken to my destination, I was taken on a seedy detour for the driver to try and sell me herbs of the illegal variety. I’m not to proud to admit I narrowly escaped shitting myself!
Three people you'd like to invite around for a dinner party... Jamie Oliver, Jack Black and Seth Rogan. I think Jack Black and Seth Rogan would just be an awesome laugh and good blokes to have a beer with.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us? Anything that can be done in a toaster, that’s why Jamie Oliver is coming around.

What's the one chore you dislike the most... Washing the dishes! Wet, soggy food weirds me out.

Would you ever partake in a reality show? Ah, I don’t think my brutal honesty would go down too well on a reality show like ‘Big Brother’ or anything like that.
If you could prank any of your friends, who's your target, and how are you bringing them down? It would definitely have to be my younger, twin brothers – and I couldn’t go past the good-old clingwrap covering the bog!
