Swearing an allegiance to always bring the ruckus, Intermood's blend of instrumental psychedelic jazz and high energy neo-disco has emerged out of sweaty, sold-out shows within Melbourne/ Naarm's thriving dance scene.
Following the success of their debut EP, 'Casuarina', released earlier this year (selling out the original run of vinyl), an east-coast tour and performances at Melbourne International Jazz Festival and Strawberry Fields, the group is set to continue carving out their own space within Australia's instrumental and dance worlds.
"'Casuarina' is our first major release and a reflection of our tastes, inspirations and influences – all mixed in to a big hot sonic soup.
"So many awesome people helped bring this project to life! To single out some special ones. . . Big love to Graeme Pogson for the knowledge, Andrew Robinson for his sonic wizardry, Harley Stewart from Fight Night Records and Pat Telfer for assisting in engineering, Max & Spoon on design and artwork, and Joe Carra for the master.
"Extra special thanks to Loz, Robyn Cummins, Tristan Meffre, Program Records, Pam & Clint and Stefan & Julien from Stone Pixels for giving this record a ride."
