An Australian independent artist hailing from Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, Lani continues to release singles as she builds towards the drop of her debut EP later this year.
After sharing her introspective debut 'Chameleon' and indie pop confessional 'I'm Sorry I Love You' last year, Lani returns with 'Worst Decision', a raw but honest pop-rock number blending grunge rock with sleek pop sensibilities.
It's co-written with ARIA Award-winning and multi-platinum selling recording artist Gary Pinto (who has collaborated with the likes of Jimmy Barnes and Guy Sebastian).
Lyrically, 'Worst Decision' explores the moment of clarity that comes when you realise someone has been holding you back.
Through honest, confrontational lines and a defiant chorus, Lani reflects on reclaiming independence, breaking free from emotional weight and choosing forward motion over stagnation.
"One of my absolute favourites I've ever made, and I'm so excited to share it with you all. Huge thank you to Gary Pinto for all his help on this track – couldn't have done it without you. Hope you love it as much as I do 🖤."
Who is Lani... Lani is my artist identity, where life experiences meet the influence of The Beatles and Lana Del Rey, creating a fusion of pop and dark pop.
I sound like... Lana del Rey and The Beatles combined.
My first gig was... Titled 'Goodbye Summer' at the Leadbeater Hotel where I headlined for the first time.
In the studio I usually... Bring my green tea and get straight into playing/ running the songs until we get the perfect vibe.
If I could tour with anyone... I would love to tour with Mallrat or Lana Del Rey.
Social media is... My instagram is @laniiimusic.
My favourite app at the moment is... Instagram. I am obsessed with my reels page. I could sit on it for hours and scroll through.
To date, my most embarrassing moment was the time... When I was performing at my father's 60th and forgot the lyrics to my own song. I had to rely on the crowd!
What celebrity/ famous person would you love to be your spokesperson... Ariana Grande. I really love her presence and her vibe, and I believe she is the type of person to handle things in a careful manner.
If you had to live in a city abroad, where would you choose and why? London. I have always wanted to go there and it just looks like such an amazing place with so many fantastic opportunities.
Three people you'd like to invite around for a dinner party... Paul McCartney, Lainey Wilson and Harry Styles. I would love to have a discussion with three differentiating artists to talk all things music, production and the lifestyle.

If you could prank any of your friends, who's your target, and how are you bringing them down? My best friend Maddi; probably pranking her by messing around with her car.
Last show you binge-watched? 'Bridgeton'! I'm a sucker for romance and historical-based shows so I was obsessed.
