Last week eclectic-folk artist Heloise was named the 2014 Melbourne Music Bank winner.
The Tasmainian native won for her song ‘This Is Home’, which was inspired by her move to Melbourne.
Who is Héloise... An eclectic-folk artist originally from Tasmania pursuing a musical career and currently residing in Melbourne. We released a self-funded EP called 'Birds In My Mouth' in May.
I sound like... A cross between Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Tom Waits.
Our first gig was... A little cafe called Fresh back when I was 15-years old!
When did you settle on the group's name, and was it a unanimous decision... I settled on the name the day I was born!
In the studio I usually... Record live! The energy is always better and the music feels alive.
If I could tour with anyone... Nikki Lane!
Social media is... A wonderful tool for broadening your audience, projecting your music across the globe and sharing cat videos.
My favourite app at the moment is... Afterlight, I'm an Instagram addict and spend far too much time editing photos!
To date, my most embarrassing moment was the time... My mum telling everyone in the band about my bowel movements as a child.
Life on the road can be... Smelly, cramped, loud, wonderful, inspiring and incredible all at the same time.
If you'll have me on your bill, all I ask is that our rider contains... Orange juice and a basket of kittens.
The most scary scenario I've found myself in, was... Definitely being trapped outside my house at midnight with no front-door key after watching 'The Conjuring'.
What celebrity/ famous person would you love to be spokesperson of the band... Johnny Depp because... Johnny Depp.
Three people you'd like to invite around for a dinner party... Jack White as he is one of my musical idols. Lars Von Trier – I'd love to get inside that guy's head. And lastly the guy who invented sultanas in cereal... to ask him why. WHY??

Seeing as my cooking skills are similar to those of a three-year old, probably toast.

Would you ever partake in a reality show? If so, what type? One where the contestants had to complete various obstacle courses while dressed in sumo suits.
If you could prank any of your friends, who's your target, and how are you bringing them down? Definitely Mally, our guitarist. He hates, hates, hates spiders. I'd love to set up a prank like that YouTube video with the dog dressed as a giant spider. He'd love that!
