A solo artist from Melbourne, Matt Joyce is bringing back '90s alt-rock vibes.
After being in touring bands and acts for a decade, Joyce broke out with his debut single 'No Surprises' last year. He's followed that with his first release of 2022, the playful, catchy 'Drink My Booze' that features acoustic guitar and record scratching.
"I wanted to create a nostalgic theme behind the lyric [the song explores the emotions of missing an ex-partner], so even if you couldn't relate to the words, it would trigger something familiar to you and make you want to listen time and again."
