A musician-producer who mines the dark side of pop and atmospheric rock, Melbourne's Dzirè is nearing the completion of her new EP 'Rectify'.
Dark synths, grunge-styled rock, sonorous ballads and minimal electronic elements hallmark the sounds of 'Rectify' (due 5 August) as Dzirè accepts her dark side cultivating an experience where her listeners are confronted with heavier topics.Fans of Sharon Van Etten, PJ Harvey and Angie McMahon will find refuge within Dzirè soundscapes with lyrical influences that express feelings of anger, grief and pain around femininity and its associated experiences for woman across countless lifespans.
Shaped by the influences of Bob Dylan, New Order, Mahalia Jackson, and Elvis, the first taste of the 'Rectify' EP is the single 'Belong'.

If you had to live in a city abroad, where would you choose and why? Somewhere in Scotland on a hill in a castle; I mean because that sounds like paradise.
