Dublin rockers Inhaler are returning to Australia in 2025.
Fronted by vocalist-guitarist Elijah Hewson (son of Bono), the band known for such hits as 'My Honest Face', 'It Won't Always Be Like This' and 'These Are The Days' will headline concerts in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in June."AUSTRALIA! We're returning in June 2025 with our new album 'Open Wide'!"
Next month, Inhaler are slated to release their third studio album. "'Open Wide'. Our third album. Our third attempt at making songs that hopefully people like. We like them, well actually we love them," posted the band.
"It was a lot of fun. We didn't feel a lot of pressure or stress when we made this record. From writing in January and February, to studio time with Harpoon in July, it didn't feel like work. I guess it's made me realise that it's hard to make cool sh.t if you're not enjoying it.
"My favourite track is 'Billy'. I have an allegiance to this track as it was named after my brother (the day we wrote it, I had to leave to see a school gig my far more talented younger brother had. They grow up so fast.).
"There's been lots of great memories so it's hard to pick one, but we did two weeks in LA earlier in the year [2024], where we met Tom (Harpoon) and Brian who engineered the project with us for the first time.
"Something about new beginnings will never not be exciting, and I think going from the grey cold of Ireland (which is my fav setting on the planet) to the glow of LA felt refreshing and a necessary change we needed as we began the next Inhale®️chapter."
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 24 January.
