Independent music conference Indie-Con returns to Adelaide this August.
The 2023 event includes a bumper line-up of international and Australian industry talents. It takes place at Mercury Cinema, welcoming a host of industry brains and shedding light on a range of topics which cater to Australian independent labels, and the music industry at large.
From outside of Australia, Indie-Con welcomes Neeta Ragoowansi (Executive Director of Folk Alliance International in USA), Noemi Planes (Chief Executive Officer at Worldwide Independent Network in Spain), Polyvinyl Marketing Director Natalie Davila (USA), Numero Group Co-Founder Rob Sevier (USA), and Colin Keenan from ATC Live (UK). More will be announced.
This year’s Indie-Con will feature 16 sessions over 3 days – a mix of panels and workshops, more than 70 speakers made up of global music industry experts, label representatives, independent artists and journalists, and representatives from 40 different companies.
Attendees can make the most of highlights like learning how to navigate the changing DSP landscape and plan new release cycles, extracting the best out of catalogue releases, the pros and cons of industry showcasing, how to develop the best plan to maximise fan engagement, protecting copyright in the era of artificial intelligence, plus specific marketing and publicity panels (with the teams behind the likes of Flume, Lime Cordiale, Confidence Man and more) and a Green Music Australia panel with stories from artists making positive environmental change.
Tickets are on sale now.
