Despite her solo tour dates being released just last night, Iggy Azalea has taken to social media platforms to urge fans not to buy tickets.

“Please don’t buy any tickets unless they are to BEYONCE as of right now. If I add any shows, I’ll be the first to let you know,” she tweeted.

“I'm still NOT doing any side shows in Australia. If this changes I will let you all know,” another tweet reads.

IEG, the tour's promoters, released a statement assuring that “all appropriate care and measures were taken prior to announcing these dates”.

Would that not include confirming the dates with Azalea herself? Or perhaps Azalea has had a change of heart about performing side shows — whatever the issue was it has certainly led to a lot of miscommunication and disappointed fans.

The hype has been building for the expat's first Australian shows, supporting the ultimate diva Beyonce on her upcoming 'Mrs Carter' tour later this year.

Raised in the suburb of Mullumbimby in Northern New South Wales, this will be Azalea's first time in Australia since moving to the US at the ripe age of 15. She's since earned her over 412,000 Facebook followers, and the clip for her raunchy recent single 'Change Your Life' has already had over four million hits.

Her singles 'Bounce' and 'Work' have been huge successes both in the US and Australia, and Azalea was voted one of XXL's top ten freshman of 2012.

With such a large network of fans, solo Australian dates would undoubtedly spark interest among Australia's hip-hop lovers, who will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates.
