Fresh off a European summer festival season that also saw them play a sold-out London Forum just days ago, English punk rockers IDLES will make their Australian debut in January.
The punk rockers began in 2011, but broke through in 2017 with their debut album 'Brutalism'.
Now the boys are bringing their second album 'Announce Joy As An Act Of Resistance' - which the band calls "a mere brave naked smile in this sh.tty new world" - down under with three east-coast shows: Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
Ongoing themes in IDLES tracks are toxic masculinity, misogyny, homophobia, and racism.
The album and the tour aim to offer a safe space, an atmosphere and community in which individuals are comfortable in their own skin and able to celebrate their unique qualities and differences.
Tickets go on sale from 1pm local time Friday 26 October. Click here for more information.
