Dust off your glitter, pull on your platform boots, prepare for pop mayhem and a JOYRIDE. . . Mighty Hoopla, the iconic UK pop culture celebration, is hitting Sydney, and bringing pop queen Kesha.

The event will land in Sydney in February 2026, on the famous Bondi Beach, promising an explosion of pure joy, fierce performances, and unapologetic pop brilliance. Punters can look forward to the festival’s trademark mix of music, mischief, and mayhem which has made it a cult phenomenon of the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond, in London.

Leading the charge for inaugural Sydney Hoopla is global pop powerhouse Kesha. With massive hits like ‘TiK ToK’, ‘We R Who We R’ and ‘Joyride’, Kesha has been a champion of fearless self-expression and energy since her debut. This makes her the perfect headliner for Mighty Hoopla’s first Australian chapter.

And she’s just the beginning.

Audiences can expect a kaleidoscopic line-up of iconic acts, drag royalty, DJs, and queer party collectives from the UK and Australia, joining the party very soon.

“Australia has always been my second home, it’s where I found out who I was as a queer man,” Mighty Hoopla Founder Glyn Fussell says. “And in turn has always been part of the Mighty Hoopla family in spirit — you’ve got the best pop fans in the world! To finally bring the Hoopla magic to Sydney is a dream come true. Expect joy, chaos, and the campest day of your life. Our touchdown is a dream come true.”

Kesha isn’t brand-new to the Hoopla world, either.

“We’re honoured to be able to bring Mighty Hoopla to the other side of the world,” Co-Founder Jamie Tagg says. “After Kesha’s incredible headline performance with us in London earlier this year, we knew she was the only artist we wanted to make our Australian debut with.”

Mighty Hoopla launched in 2016. Since, it has grown into a huge UK pop festival event, hosting acts like Nelly Furtado, Sugababes, Years & Years, Steps, Kelly Rowland, TLC, All Saints and Jessie Ware.

Tickets go on sale 23 October.

Mighty Hoopla Sydney takes place at Bondi Beach on 21 February.
