A staple of Australia's indie music scene in the '90s and early noughties, Melbourne power-pop band Icecream Hands will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their ARIA-nominated album 'Sweeter Than The Radio' with an east-coast tour in March.
The album – which features 'Nipple', 'Dodgy' and 'Yellow & Blue', and was nominated for Best Adult Contemporary Album at the 1999 ARIAs – will also be remastered and re-released in early 2019 (vinyl junkies, Icecream Hands have launched a PledgeMusic campaign offering the chance to purchase a limited edition copy on vinyl with the addition of four bonus tracks).
In preparation for the tour, the band have sifted through their back catalogue as well unearthing the never before seen official music video for the single 'Yellow & Blue', which was never released back in the day.

When it came to top-shelf supports, Icecream Hands' resume featured the likes of Ryan Adams, Fountains Of Wayne, Robyn Hitchcock and Teenage Fanclub as well as local favourites Powderfinger and The Whitlams. Even one of their own headline tours featured a very young Jet as the main support act.
Led by frontman Charles Jenkins, Icecream Hands will play three shows only March 2019: Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
