Ice Cube has been integral to the emergence of hip hop into the mainstream. First with N.W.A. (who received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024) on their seminal 1988 album 'Straight Outta Compton', then his own run of solo records including 'AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted', 'Death Certificate', 'The Predator', and 'Lethal Injection'. His 2024 solo album 'Man Down' debuted at #8 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart, his first Top 10 solo album in the chart in 14 years.
Cube is equally known globally as a Hollywood actor and filmmaker with a string of commercial hits dating back to 'Boyz n the Hood' in 1991. He's also starred in 'Three Kings', 'Barbershop', 'Are We There Yet?', '21 Jump Street', 'Ride Along' and 'The High Note'. He also directed (as well as starred in) 1998 movie 'The Players Club' (that featured Bernie Mac, Jamie Foxx and Terrence Howard).
With over ten million albums sold worldwide and multiple Grammy nominations, Ice Cube is celebrated for his raw lyricism, social commentary and enduring influence on both music and film.
