Humbe

One of Mexico's rising independent stars, singer-songwriter Humbe will tour Australia this winter.

The artist, responsible for such hits as 'Fantasmas' and 'Amor De Cine' as well as the Latin Mafia collab 'Patadas de Ahogado', will headline club shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney this August.

Originally from Monterrey and earning a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2021 at just 22, the alt-pop artist blends orchestral textures with electronic elements, highlighted by his most recent album 'Dueño del Cielo'.

Released last December, and his sixth studio record, Humbe invites listeners to reinvent themselves and embrace the Latin American lifestyle.

"Even if you're having one of the worst days of your life, you can end it in a better place by watching a beautiful sunset – the sky is always there for you."

Initially recorded in the Icelandic countryside, the record represents his most personal work yet: a reflection of his memories, growth and inner world. "A heartbeat paused in the air," Humbe posted when the album was released.

"A memory that does not ask for permission, it only exists. This is where all my layers are gathered: what I left behind, what hurt me, what held me, what I learned to love when I thought I couldn't anymore.

"Is the photograph of a soul in transition, the body breathing and smiling despite the fire skin understanding that it can also be heaven."

Tickets on sale from 2pm (local time) on 15 May.
