Hothouse Flowers Australia 2026 Tour

Hothouse Flowers
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and some beyond.

Fresh from playing Glastonbury, one of Ireland's most decorated bands, Hothouse Flowers return to Australia in 2026; their first live dates down under in 20 years.

A fusion of Irish folk, gospel rock and soul, the Dublin band led by original members Liam Ó Maonlaí and Fiachna Ó Braonáin will headline concerts in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane next February.

After catching the eye of Bono in the mid '80s, Hothouse Flowers signed to PolyGram releasing their debut album 'People' in 1988; it would become the most successful Irish debut longplayer ever reaching #1 on the Irish Album Charts and #2 on the UK Album Charts.

That record featured their most well-known song 'Don't Go' and led to festival appearances at Reading Festival and Glastonbury before the band released their second studio album 'Home' in 1990.

Hothouse Flowers worked with acclaimed producer Daniel Lanois (who was concurrently recording a Bob Dylan record) on 'Home', the record achieving the band's second Irish #1 album as well as landing at #1 in Australia. It features the singles 'Give It Up' and 'I Can See Clearly Now' (a cover version of the Johnny Nash song).

From their humble street performing roots in Dublin to global stages, the band continues to deliver electrifying performances that blend cultural storytelling and raw musical spirit with spontaneity and soulful energy.

Their recorded output has slowed across the years, but they do continue to release new material, their most recent album being 2020's 'Let's Do A Thing'.

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 4 July.
