From the same crew behind the Nine Lives Festival comes the inaugural music festival Hot Dreams, which will be headlined by American indie-pop songwriter Lucy Dacus and Welsh-born, California-dwelling artist Cate Le Bon.
To be staged in Brisbane (11 June), Cate (who recently released her new album 'Pompeii') and Lucy (current single is 'Kissing Lessons') will be joined at Hot Dreams by Toronto songwriter and storyteller Andy Shauf who'll be making his live debut down under. On the Aussie front, masked psychedelia trio Glass Beams and post-punk outfit Pinch Points (both from Melbourne) will be joined by local indie rockers Girl And Girl as well as the underground, analogue electronica of Brisbane-based Scraps.
"Holy moly, what a dream to be on this Hot Dreams line-up alongside powerhouses Lucy Dacus, Cate Le Bon, Andy Shauf and many more! See you in June, Meanjin/Brisbane!" shares an exuberant Pinch Points.
To keep the party pumping, the night will be laced with DJ sets in the outdoor courtyard from Melbourne artists Moktar and Andras, and local acts Shandy and Scalymoth.
Tickets are on sale.
