Hope D To Release Debut EP Ahead Of First Headline Australian Tour

Brisbane's Hope
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and some beyond.

With her debut EP 'Cash Only' due for release in early February, Brisbane's indie pop-rock singer-songwriter Hope D is packing the tour van for a seven-date adventure in March.

The 2020 Carol Lloyd Award winner will visit Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong. These will be her first interstate headline shows.

With the songwriting for the EP spread across three years, 'Cash Only' really began to come together in the past 12 months and finds Hope dealing with a range of themes: addiction, breaking hearts, heartbreaks, wild nights and associated regret, first relationships, and coming out.

"With everything I've ever written and will write, I want listeners to feel like they're not alone.

"I aim to write with a wide range of topics, themes and feelings to try to make people know that they are not invisible."

Since releasing her debut single 'Swim' in 2019, Hope D has solidified her reputation as one of the country's finest indie songwriters winning the inaugural QMusic Emerging Artist Award as well as performances at BIGSOUND 2019, Splendour In The Grass, and Laneway Festival.

'Cash Only' EP is due for release 5 February. Pre-order it.
