Grab your leather jacket, lace up your boots and get ready because for the first time in 20 years, Pulley are touring Australia.
The legendary punk-rock icons have been bringing to the stage raw energy and an authentic punk-rock experience since 1994 – and in November, they will be back in Australia. With shows that promise loud music, camaraderie, and an unapologetic celebration of punk culture, get ready to dive into the pit and embrace the chaos of the trailblazing geniuses who brought us songs like 'Insects Destroy' and 'Hooray For Me' as well as 'Repeat offender' and 'Golden Life' from their 2022 album 'The Golden Life'.
"We get comments a lot on Facebook and Instagram, like come to Australia; we are finally going to get back there," vocalist Scott Radinsky says.
"There's tonnes of great memories [from touring]; travelling, getting to meet new people, the fan base, the clubs, the excitement that comes with playing live and having people appreciate it."
Not only are Pulley back, but they're bringing shows that are better than ever. From blistering guitar solos to thunderous drum beats, a Pulley gig in 2023 promises an unforgettable experience for punk enthusiasts and mosh pit warriors alike.
"We put out a new record about a year ago and we've just been trying to get to as many markets as we can," adds Scott, "and for the last 20 years we haven't been able to get to Australia, and we have the opportunity, and we are looking forward to it.
"We have a couple songs unreleased that we play that are kind of fun, a couple of cover songs, yeah the newer songs, or relatively new, they're new to us in terms of playing. The whole set in general, we have a good set right now that we enjoy."
Pulley's latest album, 'The Golden Life', is a roaring testament to the enduring power of punk rock. From the moment you hit play, you're hit with a wave of songs that grabs you by the collar and thrusts you into a whirlwind of frenetic guitar riffs, pounding drums, and rebellious lyrics.
The band's unapologetic attitude and ethos shine through in every track, delivering a sonic barrage that's both nostalgic and fresh, reminding us who helped shape skate punk-rock.
"The overall experience is that it's going to be fun for everyone who shows up," continues Scott, channelling his inner promoter, "and that's what we kind of strive ourselves on is making the club a fun place.
"My favourite way to connect with audiences when were playing live is if they are singing along and we can get right down in there with them and sing with them. I know sometimes guitar players like going out in the crowd and making a personal connection with music and having people see it up close and hopefully singing along."
Whether you're a seasoned punk-rock veteran remembering their first tracks, or a newcomer to the scene, Pulley's upcoming tour offers a captivating journey through the heart and soul of punk rock music.
So gear up for a wild ride, because Pulley are about to unleash a wave of punk-rock energy throughout Australia that will leave you craving more. You don't want to miss out on a chance to see the action up close and personal.
