The continued uncertainty surrounding border closures and related COVID restrictions has forced the postponement of Hoodoo Gurus and The Dandy Warhols joint Australian tour.
Set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Hoodoos very first live performance with a run of national shows in December, both bands will now tour the country April 2022."Let's face it, folks – 2021 is a write-off," begins Hoodoos colourful frontman Dave Faulkner.
"We had high hopes earlier in the year that the pandemic would be behind us by now but. . . well, you know as well as I do. Delta skelter dashed hopes, spilt milk, whatever, we won't let it break us.
"Stay strong, stay safe and stay put – we'll get everything back on track in 2022. As the song says, all the good times we had we'll have again. Believe it."
Adds US indie darlings, The Dandy Warhols: "Hey Rockers. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions across Australia, our friends the Hoodoo Gurus have had to move their 40th anniversary tour to April 2022.
"Make sure you #KeepYourTicket so you can catch us all back on stage next year. Existing tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates, no action required!
"The good news is we'll now also be taking the show over to Hobart for a performance at Hobart Town Hall."
