Gold Coast folk-pop duo Hollow Coves newest single is the enchanting and delicate 'Hello', a song they wrote when plunged into lockdown and not able to do their 'normal' day to day activities.
"We ended up recording it and self-producing it at our little home studio," Hollow Coves says. "It's about the mundane day-to-day life of being stuck inside alone and going a bit stir crazy."We think a lot of people will be able to relate to this one after the past year."
'Hello' follows the pair's previous single 'Lonely Nights' (which has already been streamed close to 900k times on Spotify), with both tracks to feature on Hollow Coves new EP 'Blessings' (due 11 June).
"We had a bit of a different approach towards this EP," the duo of Matt Carins and Ryan Henderson says. "We didn't really write these songs to fit together. We were just trying to write anything that came to us.
"Most of these songs were written during the stay-at-home COVID period. We also ended up recording and producing most of the songs ourselves.
"We built a small home studio during COVID and had to learn how to do everything from scratch. The process took quite a long time because we really had no idea what we were doing."
