As Hockey Dad prepare to unleash their new album 'Brain Candy' at the and of May, the duo will also hit the road in June for a national tour.
Hockey Dad will be joined by Last Dinosaurs, Vundabar (from the US) and Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers for the tour, which stops by Adelaide, Fremantle, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
The 'Brain Candy' album tour will follow a mammoth run across the globe from the UK, Europe and the USA, officially making this Hockey Dad’s biggest touring year ever.
The third album for Hockey Dad, 'Brain Candy' features singles 'I Missed Out' and 'Itch', which vocalist Zach Stephenson says is the most non-Hockey Dad song they've ever written.
“Itching is the worst feeling you could have sometimes," Zach says.
"The idea comes from a person having someone under their skin and constantly invading their thoughts. But for some reason, can’t get enough of it. Can’t get enough of being controlled and held down. It’s kind of saying ‘come on in and keep me captive. I’m all yours’”
'Brain Candy' is released 29 May.
