Internet sensations, Hindley Street Country Club will tour nationally for the very first time this spring.
A covers band managed by Dennis Dunstan (Fleetwood Mac) who first came together in 2017 led by arranger/ producer Constantine Delo, the group of musicians that are Hindley Street Country Club gather every Friday to record re-arranged covers and upload them online.Think reinterpretations of all the classics from the '70s, '80s and 90's: The Doobie Brothers, Chaka Khan, Phil Collins, Chic, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Boston and much more.
The group that Air Supply's Russell Hitchcock labels "great band, vocally exceptional," while Leo Sayer attests "I really love this band," has since garnered over 790,000 YouTube followers, 426+ million views, and amassed a whopping 1+ billion views across all social media platforms (and counting).
After playing one-off shows around the country and abroad, the dynamic 13-piece band will headline concerts in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane this September and October.
"Recreating iconic songs from an incredible era of music, always with a unique arrangement twist for each song, is a trademark of HSCC, without taking anything away from the original," Delo says.
"I work with the best musicians I can find, fortunately, they were right under my nose here in Adelaide. Go figure!
"The idea is to transport you, take you back. It's like the scent of a perfume that takes you back to a time or place."
