Hey-Smith & Voodoo Glow Skulls Australia 2024 Tour

Hey-Smith (top) and Voodoo Glow Skulls
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Japanese punk-ska band Hey-Smith will tour Australia for the very first time, landing late 2024 with California legends Voodoo Glow Skulls.

Known for their hits 'Say My Name' and 'Be The One', Hey-Smith will headline gigs in Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney before playing Victorian festival Ska Nation Festival (in Colac).

With a brand of catchy, upbeat melodic punk-rock with a horn section, Hey-Smith hail from Osaka and formed in 2006. They have released a string of album since their 2009n debut 'Proud And Loud; their most recent studio album was last year's 'Rest In Punk' (that features 'Say My Name').

Now deep into their fourth decade of existence, Voodoo Glow Skulls have released 11 studio albums with their best-known cuts being 'El Coo Cooi', 'Insubordination' and 'Shoot The Moon'.

Voodoo Glow Skulls' most recent record was 2021's 'Livin' The Apocalypse', their first studio project with Death By Stereo vocalist Efrem Schulz, who replaced original singer Frank Casillas who retired in 2017.

Melbourne ska-punk veterans The Resignators join the tour as the opening act.

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 20 June.
