L-R top to bottom: Lime Cordiale, Young Franco, Sycco, The Jungle Giants

Back in 2026 and expanding into Queensland for the first time, music festival Here Comes The Sun has teamed with the World Surf League this year.

Originally launching in Margaret River in Western Australia before debuting in Torquay (Victoria) in 2024, the trio of Here Comes The Sun events (in April and May) will be headlined by Lime Cordiale, The Jungle Giants, Young Franco and Sycco.

The WA leg will align with the Western Australia Margaret River Pro weekend, with the Victorian date slotted alongside the Rip Curl Pro, and the Bonsoy Gold Coast Pro weekend in Queensland.

"The World Surf League had witnessed our events over the years in Margaret River, but more so when we expanded into Torquay in 2024 with Ocean Alley and Ball Park Music at the top of the bill," explains festival director Ross Macpherson.

"Aligning with music events is a part of WSL's goals for 2026 and beyond. Given its relationship with surfing and coastal communities, Here Comes The Sun was a natural fit."

A life-long surfer, Macpherson adds: "We're excited to expand the festival into new territories. . . with even more planned for 2027!"

Tickets on sale from 9am AEDT on 23 January.
