Herbie Hancock Australia 2024 Tour

Herbie Hancock
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A living treasure, American jazz-funk-electro musician-composer Herbie Hancock returns to Australia in 2024, for the first time since 2019.

The run of shows will see Herbie, a 14-time Grammy Award winner, headline concerts in Sydney (x2), Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in October.

An iconic artist with seven-plus decades' experience, Hancock has released forty-one studio albums since making his record debut with 1962's 'Takin' Off' (released on the famed Blue Note Records).

With a catalogue that transcends genres with The Washington Post declaring Hancock 'today's greatest living artist', his famed numbers include 'Cantaloupe Island', 'Watermelon Man', 'Chameleon', 'Rockit', 'Maiden Voyage' and 'Doin' It'.

As the immortal Miles Davis said in his autobiography: "Herbie was the step after Bud Powell and Thelonious Monk, and I haven't heard anybody yet who has come after him."

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 11 July.
