Helmet

One of the stalwarts of alternative metal-rock the last three decades, Helmet return to Australia in 2026.

Last down under in 2023, the NYC noise-rock instigators (who recently played Riot Fest in Chicago) will headline concerts in Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne next April.

Still fronted by founder and lead guitarist Page Hamilton, Helmet offer multiple generations of alternative fans seeking hostile riffs and inventive metronomic groove a night drenched in intensity.

A catalogue of hits that includes 'Unsung', 'Milquetoast', 'Crashing Foreign Cars', 'In The Meantime', 'Wilma's Rainbow and 'Speechless', Helmet have released nine studio albums, their most recent being 2023's 'Left' (featuring 'Holiday', 'Gun Fluf' and 'NYC Tough Guy') that was their first studio record since 2016's 'Dead To The World'.

Helmet's 1992 landmark 'Meantime' album went gold and cemented them as trailblazers of the heavy music scene. From the genre-bending 'Betty' (1994), which included the alt version 'Milktoast' on cult '90s film 'The Crow', and 'Aftertaste' (1997) to their return with 'Size Matters' (2004) and a string of uncompromising releases since, Helmet remain a critical force.

Helmet are currently in the middle of a North American tour with Gwar, Dwarves and Blood Vulture that sees them playing live dates through to late November.

Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 2 October.
