The sun is coming and the end of the year is approaching. . . Which means Hello Sunshine is on its way back!
Hello Sunshine is turning up the heat for Melbourne and the Gold Coast in early 2025 with an all-ages event catering to die-hard music fans, parents, kids, foodies and everyone in between. Plus, there’s a bumper line-up of musicians to enjoy.
Two successful years in Melbourne have seen more than 10,000 come through the doors both times to soak up live music, rides, market and food stalls and more. Next year’s Hello Sunshine will not only return to Melbourne, but it’ll also hit the Sunshine State with a date at the Gold Coast.
Legendary California rockers Stone Temple Pilots (STP) are set to headline both events. Forming invite late ‘80s, STP catapulted to fame in 1992 thanks to their debut album ‘Core’ which went on to be certified eight times Platinum. They won a GRAMMY for their monster hit ‘Plush’, and now eight albums later are returning to Australia for the first time in more than two decades.
American rockers, the all-stars themselves Smash Mouth are no strangers to adding sunny, retro ska-soaked pop into their alt-rock earworms. They’ll be hitting Hello Sunshine early next year: “Australia has got to be one of the coolest places to play,” Smash Mouth say ahead of returning down under. “The people there know how to party! We are so excited to head back to Australia to perform at the Hello Sunshine Festival in March. It’s going to be amazing. Summertime! Outdoor Festival! Australia! Yes Please!”
Iconic Aussie rockers Wolfmother are no strangers to festivals, having played the likes of Big Day Out, Reading, Leeds, and Lollapalooza over the years. They just recently completed a huge festival run in Europe and the UK and will once again grace the Aussie festival stage as part of Hello Sunshine in 2025.
Beloved country music act Kasey Chambers was deservedly inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame in 2018, making her the youngest female to ever receive the honour. She’s reached #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart five times, and performed in acclaimed headline shows as well as performances with Cold Chisel, Bernard Fading and James Taylor along the way.
Pop, rock and electronic wizards Rogue Traders changed the Aussie music game in the early 2000s, generating several top 20 ARIA Singles Charts hits. Their 2009 album ‘Here Come The Drums’ gifted the smash-hit ‘Voodoo Child’ and they released their first new music in over a decade last year with ’To The Disco’. “The Hello Sunshine Festival this March is looking AMAZING – and we are so excited to have been asked to join the line-up! Can’t wait to see everyone down the front!”
Perth hip hop artist Drapht has remained at the forefront of the genre since his early years in the Syllabolix crew, and the 2003 release of his debut album. “I’m stoked to be on the Hello Sunshine line-up in March!” Drapht says. “It will the first time doing all-ages shows in Melbourne and on The Goldy with my band, so we’re psyched to share the music with those who may not have heard the songs live yet! Cant wait!”
You don’t have to be a kid to love Bluey, who’ll be offering punters the chance to meet and interact with her and all the favourite ‘Bluey’ characters.
Lenny Pearce has performed globally with high-profile acts like Janet Jackson, One Direction and Pitfall. With roots in Justice Crew, he’s armed with hip hop, house and grooving basslines, bringing the vibes to Hello Sunshine in 2025: “2025 will be bigger and better than ever and I’m pumped for it,” he says. “I’m a family man myself and this event is such a vibe it’s gonna be one not to miss! Bangers for all!”
Kids band Whistle & Trick are on a mission to sing, dance, and cause mischief, and they’ll be delighting all at Hello Sunshine too: “We are thrilled to be performing alongside some spectacular acts and cannot wait to dance and sing at this great family event.”

Hello Sunshine 2025 is on at Caribbean Gardens (Melbourne) 1 March, and Broadwater Parklands (Gold Coast) 8 March.
