Experimental folk, neo-industrial collective Heilung return to Australia after their triumphant, sold-out debut last year, bringing their 'amplified history'.
After only conquering audiences in Melbourne and Sydney with their ritualistic performances, in 2024 Heliung (which is a German word meaning 'healing') will enrapture new followers in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane as well as returning to slay Sydney and Melbourne from late October.
With the music rooted in texts and runic inscriptions from Germanic peoples of the Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Viking Age, Heilung's music has been featured in 'Game Of Thrones' and 'Vikings' as well as Robert Eggers 2022 film 'The Northman'.
A live event unlike anything else touring, Heilung tap into a realm of primal energy and mysticism, invoking the spirits of ancestors through haunting vocals and featuring authentic traditional instrumentation (from rattles and ritual bells to human bones and throat singing).
"Heilung's last adventure Down Under still lingers warmly in our hearts and we are more than happy to announce a second tour to visit our brothers and sisters on the other side of our part of the world.
"Our last adventure in Australia sold out in just a few weeks, we have therefore added a few more cities this time. We can't wait to see more of your beautiful country!"
The rich tapestry of Nordic culture will be spiced by Eivør, whose music has been streamed one billion times and features in all seasons of Netflix's 'The Last Kingdom'.
Hailing from the tiny village of Syðrugøta on the Faroe Islands and with ten studio albums under her belt, as well as numerous collaborations with artists including Àsgeir, Einar Selvik (Wardruna) and Dan Heath (Lana Del Rey), Eivør is considered one of the most eclectic artists of the Nordics and a mesmerising live vocalist.
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 12 March.
