Harvest Replacement Shows To Be Announced Tomorrow

Franz Ferdinand are expected to headline their own shows.

Replacement shows for the bands on the cancelled Harvest Festival bill will be announced this Thursday.

Promoter AJ Maddah has confirmed via Twitter that the replacement shows, which look to take the form of headline tours and apparances at other festivals, will be announced tomorow.

Franz Ferdinand, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Eels, and Conor Oberst's Desaparecidos are expected to be headlining their own tours. After that, it gets a little murky.

Massive Attack have refused to take part in any replacement tour, with Maddah confirming that they've "decided to keep the money and stay at home". Goldfrapp won't be making the journey to Oz, either, after stating that they "can't come to perform" here. The Drones won't be announcing any more shows this year.

Other artists are expected to join other festivals — The Wallflowers may be added to the Bluesfest bill, Mutemath and Primus are likely to be part of the Soundwave 2014 announcement, and CSS may move to the Big Day Out (an increasingly likely option now that Maddah owns part of that festival).

Then there are the wild cards — at this stage, there's no clue where Justin Vernon's Volcano Choir, M. Ward, Superchunk and Walk Off The Earth will end up.

All will be revealed tomorrow...
