Happy Mondays 2019 Australia Tour

Happy Mondays will tour nationally (Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne) March 2019.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Manchester luminaries and 24-hour party people, Happy Mondays will be in Australia next year to perform their seminal 1990 album 'Pills 'N' Thrills And Bellyaches' (which was produced by Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne) live and in full.

The original line-up of Happy Mondays included Shaun Ryder on vocals, with his brother Paul Ryder on bass and lead guitarist Mark Day who are all still with the band.

They released their debut album 'Squirrel And G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile' in 1987 and entirety of their work bridged the Manchester indie rock scene with the emerging UK rave scene of the time.

Pioneers of the 'Madchester' scene, which would come to dominate the world of indie rock within a matter of years, Happy Mondays remain a vital instalment in the wider UK music scene.

Joining the Ryder brothers and Mark Day are Bez (percussion and dancer), Gaz Whelan (drums), Rowetta (vocals) and Dan Broad (keyboardist and musical director) as they treat audiences to a complete play-through of their classic album 'Pills 'N' Thrills And Bellyaches' on a national tour next March.

General public tickets go on sale Friday 26 October at 9am local time. Click here for more details.
