After a two-year hiatus South Australian regional event Handpicked Festival is making a major splash upon its return naming its biggest line-up ever.
Cherished legends of the game with 10 ARIA Awards in their kitbag, Hilltop Hoods headline Handpicked for an explosive finale featuring such classics as 'Leave Me Lonely', 'Exit Sign', 'The Nosebleed Section', 'Cosby Sweater' and 'Chase That Feeling', alongside their latest hit single, 'Show Business' (feat. Eamon).
"We're super excited to be playing Handpicked Festival with this huge line-up!" Hilltop Hoods says.
Staged at Lake Breeze Wines in Langhorne Creek (south-east of Adelaide) on 12 November, Handpicked also welcomes another festival favourite with time travelling DJ Hot Dub Time Machine alongside indie rockers Middle Kids and The Rubens, songstress Wafia, psych-rock outfit Babe Rainbow, indie-folk duo The Dreggs and emerging singer-songwriter Steph Strings.
Adds The Rubens: "We're playing Handpicked Festival on a huuuuuge lineup; can't wait, see you there xxx."
The boutique festival offers punters a sensory experience for all tastes showcasing Lake Breeze's award-winning wines as well as food trucks serving amazing local produce, a captivating cocktail forest, as well as a diverse range of local arts, crafts, jewellery and homewares at The Lane.
Festival goers can party well into the night with Handpicked providing a tent city with space for up to 1,500 campers and even an opportunity for some to indulge in glamping.
"Hot Dub Time Machine is synonymous with celebrating," says event organiser Kate. "His show has become notorious as an explosive celebration of music. Getting down amongst the vines will be a most epic way to close the night at Handpicked.
"Middle Kids bring such a humble, beautiful presence to the stage. I will no doubt race side of stage to sing-along to my favourite song 'Edge Of Town', which has been on rotation on my Spotify playlist for years. What an honour to get them live in our backyard," Kate says.
"The Rubens have such an amazing catalogue of songs, but it's more than that, seeing these guys live, is a must," adds Kate.
Handpicked Festival takes place at Lake Breeze Wines (Langhorne Creek) 12 November.
