Sad eyes, bad guys, mouth full of white lies. Yes, Halsey is bringing her Back To Badlands tour to Australia in 2026.
Released ten years ago to the day (almost), Halsey's debut album 'Badlands' was the world's introduction to Halsey's hypnotic electropop, art pop.
The record features 16 songs, all written by Halsey with Norwegian producer Lido one of the main producers on 'Badlands'. The album was preceded by two singles 'Ghost' and 'New Americana', while 'Colors' and 'Gasoline' would eventually be the project's biggest hits.
Other songs that resonated with fans included 'Control', 'Castle', 'Hold Me Down', 'Hurricane', 'Young God' and 'Drive'. Since its release the album has sold over three million copies and has accumulated over nine billion streams worldwide. The record peaked at #2 in Australia.
Fresh from completing her For My Last Trick tour, which was the best-selling tour of her career, now Halsey brings the Back To Badlands tour to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne next February. "One countdown has ended and a new one begins. Visit Badlands before it visits you."
Released today (including vinyl versions), the 'Badlands' deluxe edition features all 16 original tracks alongside a bonus 18 songs including a studio version of the unreleased song 'Garden', demo versions of 'Drive' and the unreleased song 'You(th)'.
It also features 'Is There Somewhere' and 'Empty Gold' from Halsey's debut EP 'Room 93' (2014), and live versions from 'Room 93: 1 Mic 1 Take' (2015), orchestral and remix versions of select tracks, and the stripped version of 'Trouble' (also from 'Room 93').
An accomplished actress as well, Halsey stars in the recently released 'Americana' alongside Sydney Sweeney, a film by Tony Tost that was filmed in 2022, but only just received a theatrical release in the US. Fingers crossed it arrives on Australian screens soon.
"[I] can't wait for everyone to see 'Americana' :) We shot this 3.5 years ago and it finally belongs to the world. It was an absolute honour to be a part of Tony Tost's vision and a pleasure working under his direction and guidance," Halsey says.
"This film represents such a memorable time in my life. I signed on before I got pregnant. Filmed it with a six-month-old baby (still nursing!). My sweet Jagger passed away unexpectedly towards the end of shooting.
"A whirlwind to say the least. I made so many friends and learned so many things. It was a world of firsts for me and I am so proud."
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 5 September.
