Twenty years after being crowned the very first ‘Australian Idol’ there, Guy Sebastian will return to Sydney Opera House Forecourt for a special ‘Double Decade Celebration’ event.
The bespoke concert under the stars will see Guy delve into his catalogue of hits and fan-favourites across his stellar 20-year career, plus some nostalgic, one-off reprises of songs he performing during his ‘Idol’ journey, right up to the debut single ‘Angels Brought Me Here’.
Guy is one of Australia’s most successful singer/songwriter/producers, and a multi-season coach on ‘The Voice’. He first appeared on screen in 2003 and he’s had a number of huge hits since, making him one of the most successful and endearing Australian artists of the last 20 years.
At this special event, he’ll play songs like ‘Who’s That Girl’, the iconic global smash ‘Battlescars’, ‘Before I Go’, ARIA Song Of The Year ‘Choir’ and his new single ‘I Chose Good’. . . Plus, previews of new, upcoming tracks.
“I wasn’t going to tour until more new music was out,” Guy expresses. “I have really had so much to be thankful for though, so it would be a shame to not celebrate this moment with a lot of the fans who gave me this opportunity all those years ago. Twenty years ago when I was standing on the very same steps at the Opera House, I couldn’t of imagined that I would be back here still doing what I love, so come celebrate with me!”
Tickets go on sale 25 September at 10am.
