Groundwater Country Music Festival (formerly known as Broadbeach Country Music Festival) has announced its first line-up for the 2018 instalment of the freshly rebranded event.
Groundwater is Australia's fastest-growing country music festival and presents a weekend of top quality performances across ten stages. This year, organisers have upheld its reputation for compiling high-calibre country stars from Australia and around the world.
Headlined by Australian favourites The McClymonts and US star Granger Smith, the initial line-up announcement also includes Adam Harvey, O'Shea, Catherine Britt & The Cold Cold Hearts, Lillie Mae and old mate Bill Chambers, among many more.
The McClymonts are an Australian sister act comprised of Brooke, Samantha and Mollie McClymont. They are four-time nominees for the ARIA Award for Country Album Of The Year, winning it twice in 2010 and 2012. Brooke is also wife and bandmate to country musician Adam Eckersley, the pair performing together as Adam & Brooke.
Out of the Lone Star State, right from the heart of country music comes Texan heartbreaker Granger Smith. Granger released his latest album 'When The Good Guys Win' last year, which picked him up a nominated for Best New Country Artist in the 2017 IHeartRadio Music Awards. At Groundwater, Granger will be performing as his alter-ego Earl Dibbles Jr.
One artist to watch for at Groundwater is the fresh new talent of US singer-songwriter Lillie Mae. Lillie is on the cusp of releasing her debut album and has been singing country and rock music on stages across America since she was just 15.
With a stack of great artists in the first announcement alone and more to be announced, Groundwater Country Music Festival is already building into a solid gold event.
Groundwater Country Music Festival (which is a free event) is on at Broadbeach precinct 27-29 July.
