Groovin The Moo is stepping back in time as it returns to the music festival calendar with a line-up oozing star appeal with a massive international artist alongside a slew of Australia's top-tier musicians.
After revealing the regional music would lay down fresh roots with single day, single stage event in Lismore in May, as part of the Great Southern Nights 2026 programme, GTM event organisers have delivered a blockbuster line-up.
American rapper Denzel Curry returns to the GTM stage having headlined the festival back in 2023; he'll be joined by one of Australia's biggest hip hop stars, six-time ARIA Award winner and proud Yolŋu artist Baker Boy.
Then there's soul rocker Matt Corby, psych lord Dope Lemon, electronic wonder Ninajirachi (who was just announced as main support for Tame Impala's Aussie 2026 dates), loveable pub rockers The Chats and pop queen Tones And I.
Rockers Maple's Pet Dinosaur and The Terrys alongside local talent, 17-year-old Murwillumbah Indigenous singer-songwriter Angel White and Lismore's own The Colliflowers round out the line-up, which will also include the Homegrown Hero winner.
"This lil strawberry is playing GROOVIN THE MOOOOOO 🍓🐮," posted Maple's Pet Dinosaur. "As a regional artist, I grew up dreaming of playing at Groovin The Moo one day.
"So I'm SOOO excited to say that we will be heading to Lismore on May 9 to play with this absolutely STACKED line-up of amazing artists who I admire and look up to. P.S Denzal Curry, can I please get a photo with you 💜?"
The Terrys are equally pumped, but in far fewer words! "This is so sick! See ya at GTM!!" While The Colliflowers are primed for a hometown show. "We're playing Groovin The Moo festival 🤠🌼! So stoked to be playing on home soil for this one! Lismore/Northern Rivers fam, see you on May 9th 🕺💃."
The 2026 Lismore event marks a deliberate and considered return for the festival, presented as a single-show format marking the first step of a long-term sustainable model for Australia's most loved regional touring festival.
Starting with a single stage and single day show allows the festival to rebuild with care, while staying true to its regional foundations. "This is about bringing Groovin The Moo back in a way that honours what it has always stood for," Fuzzy CEO Adelle Robinson says.
"The festival belongs to regional Australia. Returning with a one-off show allows us to focus on doing it with the care and responsibility it deserves while the festival industry continues to navigate rising costs and increased pressure.
"We are so thrilled to come to Lismore, a place that reflects the spirit and resilience of the communities that Groovin The Moo has supported from the beginning."
Tickets on sale from 12pm AEDT on 3 March.
Groovin The Moo Lismore takes place at Oakes Oval (Northern Rivers - Widjabul/Wia-bal Country) on 9 May, 2026.
