Update - 13 February, 2023: The Sunshine Coast leg of Groovin The Moo has sold out, with the Maitland, Canberra, Bendigo and Bunbury concerts on final release tickets.
Back to full strength in 2023, festival series Groovin The Moo is ready to bring awesome festival hangs and life-long live music moments to six regional centres.
The 2023 line-up is dominated by a trio of international superstars, with English indie rockers alt-J, American rapper-singer Denzel Curry and DJ party starter Fatboy Slim set to rock GTM.Other international arrivals at GTM this season are Canadian rapper bbno$ ('Lalala'), English DJ Eliza Rose ('B.O.T.A.'), indie pop charmer Laurel ('Scream Drive Faster'), American electro-pop singer Slayyyter ('Mine', 'Daddy AF') and London's folk-pop singer-songwriter Sophie May.
"We're heading back to Australia in April and are pleased to announce that in amongst our own tour dates we'll be part of the Groovin The Moo travelling line-up, visiting six locations around the country," shares alt-J.
Then there's a stack of Aussie talent to drool over including Amy Shark, Ball Park Music, The Chats, Confidence Man, Luude, Ocean Alley, Skegss, Slowly Slowly and Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers.
Don't sleep on the emerging local talent either, like Barkaa, Royel Otis, Teenage Dads and Teenage Joans.
"EXCUSE ME! Groovin The Moo has the audacity to go ahead and drop THIS line-up today! What an absolute dream!" beams Ball Park Music.
Adds The Chats: "Stoked to be playin' Groovin The Moo with some mates in April/ May."
So fire up the group chat, sync your calendars and get your road-trip plans sorted 'cause GTM is going to bring all the feels in 2023.
After staging three events in 2022, 2023 marks the full return of GTM. Back on the calendar will be festival stops in Adelaide and Bunbury plus new region Sunshine Coast, joining Maitland, Canberra and Bendigo.
"Here at GTM, we've got some very good moos to share," beams event organisers. "It's so good that we want to shout it from the very top of the top paddock. We are absolutely thrilled to be heading to six states and territories around Australia in April and May 2023.
"Last year, we were so udderly thankful to be able to bring GTM to Maitland, Canberra and Bendigo. We have not been able to bring the Moo to SA, Queensland and WA since 2019, but that's all about to change.
"In 2023, we cannot wait to welcome first-timers and reconnect with familiar faces to GTM across the country."
The switch of Queensland venues has been somewhat forced on event organisers: "We have loved calling Townsville our Queensland home over the years, but post-pandemic touring life is harder. The logistical challenges and increased financial pressures are too great and unfortunately we are not able to return to the top end in 2023."
